7 Key Active Listening Skills

For most employees, however, it is crucial that their manager listens to them. Managers need to be able to listen. The Center for Creative Leadership lists seven key skills for active listing.
Ask open-ended questions
Ask probing questions.
Ask for clarification.
Paraphrase.
Feelings are important.
Summarize.
